Oh noooooooo, I wasn't able to answer the phone in time! ...Or scroll. Or mirror. Whatever you were using, I completely missed out! Leave a message, please, I'll get right back to you!
*robot beeps*
[Action]
[She made sure her break room was overstocked, she wants to be a really good boss for her employees.]
I can cook dinner too, but I've been told my cooking is a little strange and it might not be your taste. So we'll order something to pick up on the way!
Re: [Action]
Takeout's faster anyway.
[Action]
[Her cooking isn't BAD, she's got the right techniques. But...yeah, definitely not the sort of thing most normal people would like.]
Yosh! Then we're off!
[And she darts away at full speed. It'll be a good pre-training training for tomorrow!]
Re: [Action]
[There's no malice in it, it's just Bakugou being Bakugou.]
Stay the fuck behind me--!!!
[He holds out his hands as if to fly off like Iron Man but. Nothing fucking happens. He's so fucking used to it that he forgot.
Orihime's ahead of him though, so at least he hopes she didn't see it. He starts sprinting at her. It's not like he's slow or anything.]
[Action]
[She grins back over her shoulder. Did she see it? She doesn't seem to be reacting weirdly. If she did, she might just decide he's being sportsmanlike. Whatever it is, she just looks happy.]
[And she's not going to slow down to let him catch up, so he'd better pick up the pace!]
Whoever gets to the traffic light first gets to choose where we race for takeout!
Re: [Action]
[Fuck sportsmanship! Once they're off the grounds, he vaults over a nearby car to try and get further than her.]
[Action]
[She's glad to hear him be so spirited again. He may be short, but he's still taller than Orihime and his stride is longer than hers. She's not giving up easily, though. In fact, the further they get, the more serious and focused her face becomes.]
[--Did he just jump over a car?! So cool...]
I'm going to choose the Bland Food Cafe, bwah ha ha ha...!
Re: [Action]
[Just the thought motivates him to run harder, catching up to run at her side. Maybe he should push someone to distract her...]
[Action]
How about...ramen...?
[He can get his as spicy as he likes. And she'll get hers with lemon and mayonnaise.]
Re: [Action]
His breathing isn't labored, but he still pauses for a moment to catch his breath, shrugging.]
If you know any good spots.
[Action]
[She just needed a moment, but she moves at a light jog this time instead of a bone-busting sprint. It doesn't take her too long to lead the way and into the shop, where they can choose their broth, meat, and toppings.]
I'll pay since you're my guest. Order as much as you want!
[She'll grab a couple of sodas from the case while they wait for the noodles to cook. It's probably no surprise that she orders the biggest bowl with odd topping combinations to go with the tempura.]
Re: [Action]
[He orders the biggest bowl as well with extra spices.]
[Action]
[At least she thought he might. She won't argue though if that's what he prefers.]
[Once they've got everything bagged up and ready to go, it's off to the bakery. It may be closed, but the smells of sweet spices still lingers. Orihime unlocks the door to let them in, passing through the darkened dining room all cleaned up with chairs on the tables, into the kitchen that's dark and still, and up the double staircase that leads to a small landing with two doors.]
That one is all yours. But we can eat together!
[Neither door is locked, and she walks right in to flick on the lights and shed her shoes. It's small and neat, with a low round table near the TV and plump cushions scattered around it. Orihime hangs up her keys.]
Make yourself at home!
Re: [Action]
[Action]
You said you don't care about saving people...or what they think of you...ne?
[She lifts a clump of noodles and blows on them to chase away the steam.]
What drives you to be a hero then, Bakugou-san?
Re: [Action]
I want to win like All Might. He's-- [His grip tightens on his chopsticks.] He was the Number One Hero, and he wins no matter what the odds. That's what heroes do.
[Action]
I think you can do it.
[She smiles after that, slurping up some noodles of her own before continuing.]
You go after everything with so much passion and determination. It's actually really inspiring. And it makes me want to try harder too.
[She wants to ask more about All Might, but she didn't miss the way he gripped his chopsticks just then. It's a sensitive topic. She shouldn't pry, not yet. Definitely not now, when emotions are probably more tender.]
