[She arches her back and pumps her arms, flats click-clacking in rapid staccato over the sidewalk. But when they reach the street corner and skid to a stop, it's...really hard to say who got there first, they were both so close. She rests her hands on her knees to catch her breath, grinning sheepishly.]

How about...ramen...?

[He can get his as spicy as he likes. And she'll get hers with lemon and mayonnaise.]

[He does end up shoving someone, but it's not with malicious intent so much as being so focused on winning he tunes everything else out. He does ignore them when they shout at him for it though.

His breathing isn't labored, but he still pauses for a moment to catch his breath, shrugging.]

Mm! It's one of the benefits of patrolling, you find a lot of new shops and restaurants. This way!

[She just needed a moment, but she moves at a light jog this time instead of a bone-busting sprint. It doesn't take her too long to lead the way and into the shop, where they can choose their broth, meat, and toppings.]

[She'll grab a couple of sodas from the case while they wait for the noodles to cook. It's probably no surprise that she orders the biggest bowl with odd topping combinations to go with the tempura.]

[Once they've got everything bagged up and ready to go, it's off to the bakery. It may be closed, but the smells of sweet spices still lingers. Orihime unlocks the door to let them in, passing through the darkened dining room all cleaned up with chairs on the tables, into the kitchen that's dark and still, and up the double staircase that leads to a small landing with two doors.]

That one is all yours. But we can eat together!

[Neither door is locked, and she walks right in to flick on the lights and shed her shoes. It's small and neat, with a low round table near the TV and plump cushions scattered around it. Orihime hangs up her keys.]

[And he does just that. As soon as his bowl hits the table he screams out a quick ITADAKIMASU!!! and aggressively shovels the noodles into his mouth. RIP.]

[Oh...! He even eats his noodles passionately! Something about him gets her so fired up, like maybe she absorbed a little of his confidence and convictions. She watches him out of the corner of her eye as she eats, a little curious, a little fascinated.]

Mm. [SLUUUUUURP. These noodles are delicious. He frowns when she asks that question. He's heard it so many times. Why should it matter what drives him to be a hero, other than to him? But Orihime doesn't sound judgy about it, so he supposes he can tell her.]

I want to win like All Might. He's-- [His grip tightens on his chopsticks.] He was the Number One Hero, and he wins no matter what the odds. That's what heroes do.

[She watches him curiously, listening to his answer. He's definitely honest about his feelings, and really, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be the best. The people he saves still benefit from his hard work, don't they?]

[She smiles after that, slurping up some noodles of her own before continuing.]

You go after everything with so much passion and determination. It's actually really inspiring. And it makes me want to try harder too.

[She wants to ask more about All Might, but she didn't miss the way he gripped his chopsticks just then. It's a sensitive topic. She shouldn't pry, not yet. Definitely not now, when emotions are probably more tender.]
