[Well, as long as it isn't putting him out, or a gift out of obligation for helping him out as a scared teen... And he does seem pretty excited (as far as 47 can ever be said to be "excited") about what he's got in mind. Maybe it's a 'TEAM INOUE' shirt for the next election campaign!]

[He doesn't really understand why she thinks he's "nice", but he'll take it. Meanwhile, he's silently cheering on the inside; he has a friend! ...That's young enough to be his daughter, but still! FRIEND!]

I haven't made many friends in my life, so I'm not really sure how it goes. Making it "official" and all that, I mean.

[Might as well be honest about why he was so nervous; and just having someone he can be that honest with is nice. He's thought of her as a friend for some time now, but was worried that she might not feel the same way and would be offended or creeped out if he told her so.]
