[Oh wow. Oh wow! A real handwritten letter! She gets so few of these, so she very carefully opens it just in case it's special enough for her to keep later. It's from Cloud? He was very nice to her, she remembers, so she's happily surprised to find that he's thoughtful enough to think of her even though they haven't met in person.]

[After she finishes reading (twice!), she neatly folds the slip of paper and tucks it into a book to keep it safe.]

[What he gets in return is a small square box, also with a letter. Her handwriting is surprisingly neat and simple with no girly or exuberant flourishes.]

Merry Firialia, Cloud!

Thank you very much for thinking of me. I was surprised and very humbled! Would it be okay to ride in the spring? The streets will be clear then, and your face won't be as cold from the wind so you can drive a lot faster that way. We could meet before then, of course! Are there any places you like? There are lots of things in the city I haven't tried yet, so I'm honestly not very picky, everything seems really fun.

I sent you an English pudding, I hope you like it! It's very different from Japanese puddings, which are usually creamy, because this one has flour in it and bits of dried fruit. A lot of people were laughing at the name, so I wanted to see if it was actually any good. I'm happy to report that it is, so I hope you'll think so too!

All the Best!
Orihime Inoue

[Inside the box is the pudding she promised, steamed in a single-serving bowl and dusted with powdered sugar. It has a faint lemon scent and taste to it. Lifting the lid of the box reveals one last note from Orihime, written on the flap: 'It's called Spotted Dick. Enjoy!']
